What is firing wall?

A firewall is a network security system that monitors and controls incoming and outgoing network traffic. It creates a barrier between a trusted internal network and an untrusted external network, such as the Internet. The purpose of a firewall is to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber attacks by filtering traffic based on predefined rules. Firewalls can be implemented in hardware, software, or a combination of both. They can also be customized to match the specific security needs of an organization. Some of the common types of firewalls include packet-filtering firewalls, stateful inspection firewalls, application firewalls, and next-generation firewalls.
